Exclusive Character Jugs
Brand new Characters Jugs avalable exclusivly from Direct Ceramics Limited. Each Jug is issued in a limited edition of just 250. These large size character jugs are hand made and hand decorated in Stoke on Trent here in England. Individually numbered and issued with a matching numbered certificate. Each jug can be purchased individually.
Doulton Flambe Character Jugs
2005 sees the launch of a brand new series of Limited Edition Character Jugs issued in editions of just 250 and decorated in the famous Flambe Glaze. They are exclusive to Direct Ceramics Limited and the theme behind the series is Myths, Fantasies and Legends. These jugs are currently the only jugs that are still hand made in England.
Doulton Characters (In production)
Royal Doulton have produced both real life and fictional characters from all walks of life including literature, history and the theatre. Collectors often collect with a theme in mind eg. Seafarers, Military, Street Sellers. The figures in this section are in production and below the recommended retail price.
Figures - Royal Worcester
Royal Worcester have been producing collectors figures since the early 20th century. Their range includes Figures of the Year, Ladies of the British Isles and both boys and girls representing the Days of the Week poem which make excellent Christening presents for the younger child and wonderfully different Birthday Presents that show some thought has gone into the present. Character Jugs (In production)
Otherwise known as face jugs, Character Jugs normally in the image of human beings were first launched by Royal Doulton in 1934. Since that date there have been over 300 different subjects many produced in all three standard sizes.
Winnie the Pooh - Doulton
From the books of A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh is named after a bear cub brought back from Winnipeg during the First World War by Harry Colebourn. It now outsells Mickey Mouse and is Disneys most popular character. Loved by child and adult alike, with prices from just £20 these characters make wonderful presents both for that special loved one and for occasions like Christenings and Birthdays.
Snow White - Doulton
Everybody's favourite, Snow White and the seven dwarves were originally produced by Royal Doulton in 1998 and withdrawn in 2002. In 2004 they introduced a second series which consists of nine pieces and a limited edition tableau of the seven dwarves. The nine pieces in the general range are competitively priced below the recommended selling price.
Snowman Figures - Coalport
The Snowman from Coalport Characters have been produced since 2002 to the current day. The limited edition pieces have quicly sold out and made large premiums on the secondary market. This section contains all of our current stock both discontinued and current range items.
Father Christmas
Raymond Briggs's Father Christmas has been brought to life by Coalport in both limited edition and general range figures. Originally introduced in 2004 certain figures have been restricted to members of the Coalport Collectors Club.
Snowman Giftware - Coalport
Scenes from The Snowman book and video are depicted on mugs, plates, bowls and other items of china. Suitable for children and these inexpensive pieces make tremendous christening and birthday presents.
Border Fine Arts
Border Fine Arts have produced a mass of different studies associated with the farming and country community from individual animals, digging trenches and hunting to animals giving birth. All are carefully sculptured to the finest detail.
Candle Snuffers - Worcester
Royal Worcester have under different names produced Candle Snuffers since 1852. This section shows our current stock of in production and those no longer produced. Most are brand new and wonderfully priced at below the recommended retail price.
Rupert Bear - Doulton
Issued under licence by Royal Doulton since 2004 most of the figures and tableaus are taken from illustrations in the 1950 edition of The Rupert Annual. All of the figures are very competitively priced.
Frosty Family
Exclusive to Royal Doulton, the Frosty Family is an original concept, with a new range of bone china family figures all set for Christmas. Each hand-made and hand-painted piece comes gift boxed with a certificate.
Wallace & Gromit
In 2003 Coalport teamed up with Ardmann, the inventors of Wallace & Gromit to bring the stars of the stories to three dimensional characters. The result is these wonderful sculptures some of which are limited editions and very hard to find. Discontinued from production in 2005.
